Went to another Yakitori restaurant in Kuala Lumpur named “Toritama”.

In Japan of course but also have branch at Singapore and Shanghai. You can eat the famous stores listed in the Michelin Guide have opened in Malaysia as you can enjoy authentic charcoal-grilled chicken.

I’m glad it was still open after lock down.

If you are Japanese skewer lover you may also visit yakiroti “ITSUMO” previously the restaurant name was “Toridoki” but now name has changed and good thing is the size become larger so no need to wait anymore.

Not only yakitori but other meal is also delicious and my favorite menu is Tsukemen. Please check from below link if you are intrested.

The interior of the store is unified in wood grain and has an open counter in the center. You can eat freshly-made yakitori because it is served immediately while grilling in front of you.

Get to know that Toritama is from Tokyo. “Tori” means chicken and “Tama” means egg and that reflects on the signboard itself.

On weekend of course but also on weekdays it’s full so you need to take reservation in advance.

Currently Japanese chef is no more working but the cooking was no issue without him. It was delicious.

The yakitori here bears varied textures, with many cuts conveying a simultaneously resilient and juicy chew.

This time I order yakitori course “Tori”. Which will serve you 7 skewers. There are also other course which is serving more skewers.

They only serve 1 by 1 so you can eat right after they cook and serve every time.

The special thing in here is that “Toritama” can serve the part which is not served by other restaurant such as obi (inner thigh), soriresu (chicken ‘oyster’) and aburatsubo (tailbone root meat).

You may find the menu in the first time when you see it.
